Which Dog Tag is The Right Tag?
Please consider these factors when choosing a pet tag.
- Size. You will want a tag that is appropriate to your pet's size. Dog tags that attach to your pet's collar will also need special consideration.
- Sound. Are you comfortable with a dog tag that jingles against your pet's collar? Is your dog? Plastic and glow in the dark dog tags are two options which will reduce noise greatly. Collar Slide-On tags will loop over the unbuckled end of your dog's collar to stay pressed into place. Riveted tags also are fixed to the side of your pet's collar.
- Your Information. If any part of your address is unusually long or verbose then you may wish to consider a dog tag that is longer from left to right than it is tall.
- Durability. If your dog frequently roams, whether accompanying you on hunting trips or simply wandering off on his own, then he may bend or scratch lesser tags. Consider stainless steel pet tags.
